The work you submit to The Show was flawless, but that doesn’t mean you have to be. After all, who hasn’t spilled a cup of coffee in their lap mid-meeting or accidentally replied-all to an email from the boss? This year, we’re here to celebrate the process, not just the result — including all the messy, brilliant frustration that comes with it.
So, we’re asking… who are you really?
Carla is an award-winning independent creative director and writer whose career spans both sides of the Atlantic. She’s created campaigns for iconic brands like Nike, Google, Facebook, Sprite, Rimmel, and more, with agencies such as R/GA New York, Johannes Leonardo, AKQA London, and VICE France. Her work has been recognized by Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, AICP, the Clios, Andys, OBIEs, and Webbys. A Midwest native and travel junkie, Carla is now based in Chicago, where she splits her time between building brands and adventuring with her family.
Brian is an independent Creative Director (Art Director & Writer) who's based in Minneapolis and works with agencies across the country. He has created campaigns for Skittles, State Farm, Jeep, Adidas, McDonalds, Facebook and more. Brian’s work has been awarded by Cannes Lions, Clios, LIA, The Andys, The Webby’s, Radio Mercury Awards and others, but what’s equally notable is that three of his commercials were featured on TBS’s Funniest Commercials of the Year, in the same year. Advertising awards are great and all but moms, friends and spouses don’t know what a Lion or Clio are… but they sure do know TBS.
Throughout her 20+ year career, Kim Haxton has created numerous award-winning campaigns for beloved brands like Gap, Converse, A24 and Coca-Cola, among others. She now leads the creative department at Mythology in New York where she lives with her two kids.
Steve Dolan worked at Made for nearly the entire history of the shop, spearheading the work that made Lyft a household name, and enabled it to leapfrog Uber as the most beloved brand in the rideshare category, in addition to leading work for dozens of other national and international brands (including Under Armour, Walmart, Etsy, and California Pizza Kitchen). After an 11-year run at Made, he recently co-founded Standard Practice — a 6-month-old startup agency in Boulder that already counts a half dozen national clients to its name.
